In Brief:

Since 1991, MERCUS Logistyka has been steadily strengthening its position in the market as:

the logistics operator for KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. and companies within the KGHM Capital Group,
a leading partner in the sale of materials, products, and services traded within the KGHM Capital Group to external markets, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and competitiveness,
a manufacturer of electrical wire harnesses, cable assemblies for the power engineering, high-tech, and biotechnology industries, as well as hydraulic hoses for applications including mining machinery,
an experienced provider of domestic and international passenger transport services.

“MERCUS” Trading and Manufacturing Company Ltd., headquartered in Polkowice, was established as a joint venture through the shared initiative of the Management Board of the Copper Mining and Smelting Combine (KGHM) in Lubin and the management of FLT-Metall GmbH in Düsseldorf, with a majority of foreign capital.

The Company commenced operations on 1 October 1991.

Upon its establishment, PHP “MERCUS” Sp. z o.o. took over part of the personnel and technical infrastructure of Zakład Handlowo-Produkcyjny “Zakmat” in Polkowice, a former KGHM business unit specializing in the supply of materials and other products essential for the operation and maintenance of the copper industry.

In response to changing economic conditions and the Company’s development needs, its ownership structure evolved over the following years.

Today, KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. holds 100% of the Company’s share capital.

On 12 March 2015, the Company changed its name to MERCUS Logistyka Sp. z o.o., emphasizing its role as the logistics operator for KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. and companies within the KGHM Capital Group, while continuing to operate in the open market through wholesale and retail sales using a variety of distribution channels.

MERCUS Logistyka Sp. z o.o. also owns 100% of the share capital of Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowo-Usługowe “Lubinpex” Sp. z o.o., headquartered in Lubin.
