Establishment of the Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowo-Produkcyjne “MERCUS” as a joint venture with foreign capital participation.

Opening of retail outlets for food and industrial goods in Głogów, Polkowice, and Lubin.

1995 – 1996

Opening of Building Supplies Centres in Lubin, Głogów, and Legnica.
Organizational separation of the Materials and Technical Supply operations dedicated to KGHM Polska Miedź S.A..

1997

Signing of the Agreement on the Supply of Materials and Technical Resources for the Mining Divisions with KGHM Polska Miedź S.A..
Acquisition of an organized part of the business of the Mining Divisions of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., together with their employees.

1998

Opening of another Department Store and Building Supplies Centre in Legnica.
Awarded the PN ISO 9002 Quality Certificate for its manufacturing operations.

1999

Modernization of the Electro-Mechanical Production Plant (ZPEM) in Sobin.

2000

Establishment of the Mercus Capital Group through the acquisition of shares in the following companies:
- PU “Mercus Serwis” Sp. z o.o., headquartered in Lubin.
- PHU “Mercus Bis”, headquartered in Dąbrowa Górnicza.

2001

Opening of the SEAT Vehicle Sales and Service Centre in Legnica.
Acquisition of shares in PHU “Lubinpex” Sp. z o.o., headquartered in Lubin.

2002

Opening of the Company’s commercial complex in Jelenia Góra.

2003

Establishment of the Materials Logistics Centre.
Introduction of electronic auctions using an online procurement system.
Launch of underground consignment warehouses at the mining divisions of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A..
Implementation of the integrated Axapta IT system, compatible with the SAP R/3 system.

2004

Became a member of the KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. Capital Group.
Acquired an organized part of the operations of the Smelting Divisions of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., together with their employees.
Obtained the SEAT Authorized Contract Partner certification.

2005

KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. became the sole shareholder, acquiring 100% of the Company’s share capital.
Launch of an electronic auction platform for selecting suppliers of materials for KGHM Polska Miedź S.A..
Implementation of an electronic ordering and order confirmation system for material procurement between the divisions of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. and PHP “MERCUS” Sp. z o.o..
Awarded the Fair Play Enterprise 2005 certificate.
Opening of the modernized Building Supplies Centre in Lubin.

2006

Celebration of the Company’s 15th anniversary.

2007

Opening of the Mercus Interior Gallery in Głogów.

Completion of the full computerization of all retail outlets based on the AXAPTA system, including the creation of a centralized inventory database.

2008

Opening of the modernized Mercus Interior Gallery on Pawia Street in Lubin, together with a SEAT vehicle showroom.
Development and implementation of the Information Security Policy.
Awarded the Fair Play Enterprise 2008 certificate.

2009

Implementation of a new IT system to support the operations of the Auto-Mercus Vehicle Sales and Service Centre.
Opening of the modernized Mercus Interior Gallery on Młyńska Street in Polkowice.
The Electro-Mechanical Production Plant (ZPEM) in Sobin obtained authorization to mark electrical wire harnesses with the UL certification mark (in accordance with UL 817), enabling the sale of its products in the North American market.
Opening of a Multi-Brand Car Dealership in Legnica offering Opel, Chevrolet, and Ford vehicles.
Implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0, replacing the previous Axapta 3.0 enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

2010

Launch of the Company’s online store.
Launch of the Procurement Platform for the KGHM Capital Group.

2011

Commencement of the construction of Galeria Gwiezdna, expanding the existing Mercus Interior Gallery.
The Electro-Mechanical Production Plant (ZPEM) in Sobin successfully maintained its ISO 9001:2008 certification.
Commissioning of the first liquid fuel station at the Głogów Copper Smelter.
Opening of Galeria Gwiezdna in Legnica, the largest retail facility operated by PHP MERCUS Sp. z o.o..

2012

Received the Pearls of the Polish Economy distinction in the Large Enterprises category during the 10th Anniversary Gala of the Pearls of the Polish Economy awards.

2013

Relocation of the Building Supplies Centre in Legnica from 116 Rzeczypospolitej Street to 114 Jaworzyńska Street.
Commencement of the investment project to expand the retail space of the Mercus Interior Gallery in Głogów, located at 48a Mickiewicza Street.
Implementation of the e-Invoicing module.
Introduction of online installment payment options for customers.

2014

Implementation of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Completion of the merger of PHP MERCUS Sp. z o.o. and Mercus Software Sp. z o.o..
Galeria Gwiezdna in Legnica was awarded the title of Best Furniture Showroom in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship for 2013.
Opening of a new retail showroom in Jelenia Góra featuring an exclusive range of leather furniture.
Expansion of the Mercus Interior Gallery in Głogów to a total retail area of 3,000 m².
Sale of the Company’s shares in PHU “Mercus Bis” Sp. z o.o., headquartered in Wieliczka.

2015

12 March – The Company changed its name to MERCUS Logistyka Sp. z o.o.
31 July – Acquisition of an organized part of the business of POL-MIEDŹ TRANS Sp. z o.o., operating as the Passenger Transport Department.

2017

12 May – Commissioning of the automatic vehicle wash facility at the Passenger Transport Department in Lubin.

2018

11 December – Awarded the Pearls of the Polish Economy title in the Large Enterprises category.
18 December – Launch of two new production lines at the Electro-Mechanical Production Plant (ZPEM) in Sobin.

2019

1 February – MERCUS Logistyka Sp. z o.o. was ranked second in the Forbes Diamonds 2019 ranking.

2020

Signed a partnership agreement with the Jan Wyżykowski University in Polkowice.
Started the implementation of the SAP system.
Implemented the E-Office system to streamline document workflow within the Company.
Implemented the Workflow system.
Introduced e-learning training courses for Company employees.
Implemented the Case Manager application as a comprehensive tool for the management team to handle day-to-day business operations.
Launched a new version of the Normatywy system.
Launched the E-Recruitment system.
Implemented the Asprova production planning system at the ZPEM facility in Sobin to optimize manufacturing processes.
Implemented the GLOEM system to support production process monitoring and performance control at the ZPEM facility.
Completed the deployment of a comprehensive CCTV monitoring system at the Company’s headquarters.
ZPEM – Commissioned a fibre-optic connection, replacing the previous standard internet network connection.

2024

5 September – MERCUS obtained the ISO 37001 Certificate, confirming that the Company has implemented and effectively maintains an Anti-Bribery Management System in accordance with international standards.
27 September – MERCUSIADA – In the Land of the Rising Sun – Celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the Company’s establishment.
11 October – The Electrical Wire Harness Manufacturing Plant (ZPEM) in Sobin successfully completed its ISO 9001 recertification audit, maintaining certification that confirms the highest quality management standards in the manufacture and sale of electrical wire harnesses, electrotechnical assemblies, electrical equipment, and high-pressure hydraulic hoses.
8 November – Expansion of the transport and logistics fleet with seven new vehicles.

2025

18 August – WPO purchased nine new Iveco Crossway Line buses.
26 October – MERCUSIADA Bella Italia – Celebration of the 34th anniversary of the Company’s establishment.
3 November – MERCUS became a Silver Sponsor of the Jubilee Gala of the Institute of Accounting and Taxation, marking the 20th edition of the The Best Annual Report competition.

2026
